Indiana man sentenced to 57 years in prison for murdering 17-year-old female neighbor and burying her body in her garden

A man who murdered a 17-year-old female neighbor and buried her body in his front yard was sentenced to 57 years in prison on the 11th in a court in the midwestern state of Indiana.

Investigators say Scott got into an argument with his neighbor, 17-year-old Valerie Tyndall, at his home last June and strangled her with a belt, killing her.
The defendant owned a lawn mowing business and Mr. Tindall was employed there.

A body was found in a box in the backyard of the defendant’s home at the end of November last year.
The defendant stated that he killed Ms. Tyndall and the next day he made a box and put her body in it.
