Taiwan train accident: Truck driver detained on suspicion of manslaughter

The truck driver who fell on the railroad track said, ”I will definitely cooperate with the investigation and take all responsibility.”
In the train accident that occurred in eastern Taiwan on the 2nd, 50 passengers were killed and more than 200 were injured.
Investigators detained the truck driver on the night of the 4th on suspicion of manslaughter, suspecting that the side brake of the truck that had fallen on the railroad track was not applied or may have broken down.
It was pointed out that the damage had spread because about 120 passengers on the train were standing, and the authorities are considering causal relationships and considering restrictions on standing.
