On the 24th, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy signed a bill banning the activities of religious groups with ties to the Russian regime.

対象たいしょうの中心ちゅうしんは、ロシア正教会せいきょうかいと歴史的れきしてきな結むすびつきを持もつウクライナ正教会せいきょうかい（ＵＯＣ）だ

The focus is on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), which has historical ties to the Russian Orthodox Church.

The new law stipulates that if religious organizations such as the UOC do not sever ties with Russia within nine months, a court will order their dissolution.

The bill was put to a vote in parliament on the 20th and passed with 265 votes in favor and 29 against.

The lawmaker who submitted the bill stated that the purpose of the bill was to prohibit the Moscow Patriarchate, which heads the Russian Orthodox Church, from operating in Ukraine, and accused the Moscow Patriarchate of being a party to the war.
