This year’s word is ”AI” Collins English Dictionary

辞書出版大手じしょしゅっぱんおおての英えいコリンズは、「ワード・オブ・ザ・イヤー（今年ことしの単語たんご）」に「ＡＩ」を選出せんしゅつした

Collins, a major dictionary publishing company, has chosen ”AI” as its ”Word of the Year”.

「人工知能じんこうちのう（ａｒｔｉｆｉｃｉａｌ　ｉｎｔｅｌｌｉｇｅｎｃｅ）の略語りゃくご：コンピューターのプログラムによる人間にんげんの精神機能せいしんきのうのモデリング」と定義ていぎしている

Defined as ”abbreviation for artificial intelligence: modeling of human mental functions by computer programs”

「次つぎなる大規模だいきぼな技術革新ぎじゅつかくしんと目めされるＡＩは、２０２３年ねんに急速きゅうそくな発展はってんを遂とげ、多おおくの人ひとの話題わだいに上のぼった」と、コリンズは選出せんしゅつを発表はっぴょうする声明せいめいで述のべた

”Artificial intelligence (AI), seen as the next big technology revolution, will develop rapidly in 2023 and has been talked about by many,” Collins said in a statement announcing his selection.

The latter is a word that means ”people who are considered to have been promoted because their parents are famous.”
