The automobile police unit was established in 1950, and initially had 3 police cars and 54 members, but the unit has been strengthened year by year, and now there are 125 police cars and 377 members.
It has been 70 years since the unit was established this year, and a commemorative ceremony was held in Tachikawa City on the 18th.
The Metropolitan Police Department wants to continue to strengthen its activities for the smooth holding of the postponed Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.
