The number of humanitarian workers killed in conflict zones around the world, including the Gaza Strip in Palestine, rose to 281 this year, the worst death toll ever recorded, a United Nations agency said.

　OCHA＝国連人道問題調整事務所こくれんじんどうもんだいちょうせいじむしょは22日にち、紛争地ふんそうちなどで活動かつどうする人道支援関係者じんどうしえんかんけいしゃの今年ことしの死者ししゃが281人にんに上のぼり、去年きょねんの280人にんを上回うわまわって過去最多かこさいたとなったと明あきらかにしました

On the 22nd, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced that the number of deaths this year among humanitarian aid workers working in conflict zones and other areas has risen to 281, surpassing the 280 deaths last year and setting a new record.

　ガザでは去年きょねん10月がつ7日以降なのかいこう、少すくなくとも333人にんの人道支援関係者じんどうしえんかんけいしゃが殺害さつがいされ、そのほとんどがUNRWA＝国連こくれんパレスチナ難民救済事業機関なんみんきゅうさいじぎょうきかんの職員しょくいんだとしています

At least 333 humanitarian workers have been killed in Gaza since October 7 last year, most of them employees of UNRWA, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East.

　また、アフガニスタン、スーダン、ウクライナなどでも、人道支援関係者じんどうしえんかんけいしゃが暴力ぼうりょくや誘拐ゆうかいなどの脅威きょういに直面ちょくめんしているとして、OCHAは「彼かれらの命いのちはかつてないほど急速きゅうそくに奪うばわれ、その勇気ゆうきと人間性にんげんせいが銃弾じゅうだんや爆弾ばくだんで打うち砕くだかれている」と各国かっこくに保護措置ほごそちを求もとめました

OCHA also called on countries to provide protection to humanitarian workers in Afghanistan, Sudan, Ukraine and other countries, who are facing threats such as violence and kidnappings. Their lives are being taken faster than ever before, and their courage and humanity shattered by bullets and bombs, it said.
