It is a shortened word from the name of the TV drama '不適切にもほどがある' ('There's a Limit to Inappropriateness').
It became popular as a story about a man who suddenly comes to the present time from about 40 years ago and struggles to cope with the differences in ways of thinking while doing his best.
ほかには、アメリカ・ドジャースの大谷翔平選手の「50−50」、今年新しくなったお金「新紙幣」などが選ばれました
