In front of the headquarters of the NRA (National Rifle Association), which opposes gun control, bereaved families of the incident gathered and called for stronger gun control.
Survivors of the 2018 mass shooting at a high school in Florida also participated, arguing that ”the only way to get policymakers to hear the voice of the people is to keep speaking up.”
President Biden issued a statement on the 14th, stating, ”Our obligations are clear.
We must eliminate weapons that have no purpose other than to kill people,” he said, emphasizing the administration’s continued efforts to strengthen gun control.
