Giant refugee doll welcomes actor Jude Law to enter the UK

A huge refugee doll that traveled around Europe crossed the sea and landed in England, and was greeted by actor Jude Law and others.
The giant puppet ”Little Amal”, which was inspired by a Syrian refugee girl, arrived at a port town in the south of England on the 19th, after traveling 7,500 kilometers from the border between Turkey and Syria.

The number of refugees aiming for the United Kingdom has increased rapidly in the last few years, and 17,000 have already arrived this year alone.
Although the entry of ”Little Amal” was welcomed, the situation surrounding refugees is harsh, and even if they obtain residence rights over many years, they are exposed to various discriminations.
Nevertheless, the organizers said they would like to raise awareness of society through these events.
