Helping foreigners get vaccinated in 18 national languages
日本に住んでいる外国人の中には、新型コロナウイルスのワクチンを注射していない人が多くいます
Many foreigners living in Japan have not been vaccinated with the new coronavirus vaccine.
Some people cannot make reservations because they do not understand Japanese, and some people do not receive vaccination tickets from the government office.
国は今月から18の国のことばで電話での注射の予約ができるようにしました
Starting this month, the country has made it possible to book injections over the phone in the language of 18 countries.
Injections began last week at hospitals in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya.

At a hospital in Minato Ward, Tokyo, Vietnamese, Chinese, and Paraguayans used tablets to talk to doctors and receive injections while having them translate.
A Paraguayan woman said, ”I’m happy to get an injection because I can protect myself.”
