McDonald’s launches trial sale of meat burger in the United States
アメリカのファストフード大手マクドナルドは３日、アメリカ国内８店舗で植物由来の代替肉を使ったハンバーガーの試験販売を始めました
McDonald’s, a major American fast food company, started trial sales of hamburgers using plant-derived meat substitutes at eight stores in the United States on the 3rd.
”McDonald’s”, which has started trial sales in California, is a business in cooperation with ”Beyond Meat”, a company that handles meat substitutes, and costs about 715 yen per piece.
Putty is made from ingredients such as peas, rice and potatoes and is almost indistinguishable from regular products.
Plant-derived meat substitutes are attracting attention not only from the health aspect but also from the environmental aspect because they emit less greenhouse gas than meat, and this trial sale will continue until the stock runs out.
