World’s oldest dog ”Spike” recognized by Guinness World Records at 23 years old

Guinness World Records has certified a 23-year-old Chihuahua crossbred ”Spike” living in Ohio, USA as the world’s oldest dog.
Spike is male and was born in November 1999.
According to Guinness World Records, he lived ”at least 23 years and 7 days” as of December 7, 2018, when he was recognized as the world’s oldest person.
”It’s been nearly 14 years since she was kept by her current owner.”
Owner Rita Kimball found Spike abandoned in a grocery store parking lot in 2009.
Guinness made the announcement in a statement sent to CNN on Wednesday.
