Regarding the "reciprocal tariffs" that the Trump administration in the U.S. intends to apply, American media has reported that a proposal to impose a tax rate of about 20% on most imports has emerged.
アメリカのトランプ政権が導入を予定している「相互関税」について、アメリカメディアは輸入品の大部分に20％前後の関税を課す案が浮上していると報じました。
According to the Washington Post, regarding the reciprocal tariffs expected to be announced by the Trump administration on the 2nd, a senior White House official said, "We are at the stage of considering several options."
ワシントン・ポストによりますと、トランプ政権が2日に発表する見通しの相互関税を巡って、ホワイトハウス高官は「いくつかの選択肢を検討している段階だ」と述べたということです。

In the case of this proposal, it is assumed that it is based on the legal basis of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, which allows for the increase of tariffs under the guise of responding to security threats.
この案の場合、安全保障の脅威に対処することを名目に大統領権限で関税引き上げを可能にする国際緊急経済権限法を法的根拠に挙げているとしています。
Although a final decision has not yet been made, the Washington Post has warned that "in the event that retaliatory measures from trade partner countries are applied, the economic situation will almost immediately fall into a years-long crisis," by presenting the opinions of experts.
最終決定はしていないものの、ワシントン・ポストは専門家の声を紹介する形で「貿易相手国から報復措置が取られた場合、経済状況はほぼ即座に年単位で続く不況に陥る」と警告しています。
