Shu Qi and Presidential Charge: More than two weeks detained

It was found that Aung San Suu Kyi, State Counselor and President Win Min, who are under house arrest in Myanmar, were charged by the police.
According to the ruling party NLD (National League for Democracy) officials, Suu Kyi’s state counselor illegally imported radios and used them at home, which is said to be a violation of the Import and Export Law.
The prosecution meant that the two would continue to be detained for at least another two weeks.
The military side has been criticized worldwide for detaining Shu Qi’s state counselors, so it seems that the aim is to appeal the legitimacy of the detention by taking the criminal procedure.
