Entrepreneur Elon Musk announced that Twitter (America) has accepted his take-over deal.
On the 25th of April, Twitter announced that the company’s Board of Directors had accepted and carried out the take-over contract with Elon Musk.
At the time of the transaction, Twitter’s stock price was at $54.20, so the acquisition cost amounted to $440,000,000,000 - exceeding 5 trillion yens.
At first, Twitter took a defensive stance over the take-over plan but they soon changed their mind when Musk revealed the capital he’d use to secure his take-over.
