It was reported that Prince Henry and Queen Megan gave the eldest daughter, who was born this month, the same name as the nickname of the prince’s grandmother Queen Elizabeth, ”Riribet”, without the permission of the queen. The press denies this
The nickname of Lillibet is said to be derived from the fact that Queen Elizabeth could not pronounce her name well when she was young, and Queen’s grandfather George V imitated that pronunciation.
Her husband’s late Royal Highness Philip also called the Queen with this nickname.
When the Queen’s mother, Empress Elizabeth, died in 2002, the card attached to the wreath of the sword said ”From Lillivet”.
The eldest daughter, the second child of Prince Henry and his wife, was born on the 4th of this month.
The middle name was given the same name as ”Diana”, the same as the prince’s mother, the late Princess Diana.
