Sendai High Court ”The Fukushima nuclear accident is also the responsibility of the country”

There was an accident at TEPCO’s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station in the tsunami of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake.
3,600 people, including those living in Fukushima Prefecture, appealed to the court saying, ”This accident has changed my life so much that I want the government and TEPCO to compensate.”
On September 30, the Sendai High Court ruled that ”the government and TEPCO are responsible for the accident.”
In the ruling, the presiding judge said, ”According to a report issued to the government before the earthquake, we could think that a big tsunami might come.
It is against the law that the country did not tell TEPCO to take measures against the tsunami
The country is as responsible as TEPCO. ”
And I told the government and TEPCO to pay a total of about 1 billion yen.
