Dialogue between Israel and Lebanon for the first time in 30 years, towards maritime demarcation

According to Lebanon’s state media, talks with Israel to demarcate the sea began on the 14th at a UN facility in Nacra, southern Lebanon, with the help of the United States.
The first day will end in about an hour, and the next talks are expected to take place on the 28th.
In the eastern Mediterranean, where both countries face, natural gas resources have been found one after another in recent years, and development competition in neighboring countries has intensified.
Lebanon and Israel are at odds with each other, claiming that they have their own EEZ = Exclusive Economic Zone over an area of approximately 860 square kilometers.
Since the commercialization of gas fields is directly linked to the acquisition of foreign currency, there is a desire for early development for Lebanon, which is suffering from a currency crash due to default of government bonds and a large-scale explosion.
