[Breaking news] NASA successfully experimented to change the orbit of an asteroid

NASA = National Aeronautics and Space Administration announced that it was ”successful” in an experiment to change the orbit of an asteroid that could collide with the Earth
NASA Administrator Bill Nelson said on the 11th that ”the impact of the spacecraft successfully moved the orbit of the asteroid Dimorphos.”
Last month, NASA conducted an experiment in which the probe ”DART” collided with the asteroid ”Dimorphos” near the Earth.
As a result, they succeeded in shortening the orbital period by 32 minutes.
Initially, it was made clear that it would be a success if it could be changed by at least 73 seconds
We will continue to analyze the data and study how this experiment can be used to avoid an asteroid colliding with the Earth.
