Sales of Japanese anime will be the highest ever for 6 consecutive years
An organization of companies that make anime in Japan checks every year how much the sales of work related to anime were.
As a result of investigating about 150 companies, the total sales in 2018 were 2,181.4 billion yen.
It has increased by 19 billion yen from the previous year, and it has become the largest number ever for 6 consecutive years.
Sales of movies and games in foreign countries were 1,092 billion yen, 46% of the total sales.
It became more than 1 trillion yen for the first time
