91 people will not attend Tokyo Olympic torch relay.
The flame will travel trough all prefectures in Japan for a relay of 121 days.
It turned out that there are 91 people from 34 prefectures who won’t be running on the torch relay after it was decided to hold the Olympics a year later.
Reasons for the non attendance were due to work or school circumstances for 41 people and 4 more highlighted there was a problem with something the chairman of the organizing committee said.
12 people also died.
Among the people who won’t attend, there are about 40 celebrities such as actors and sports players.
Toshihiko Koga, who died on the 24th at the age of 53, was also scheduled to run the relay.
Mr. Koga won the gold medal in judo during the 1992 Olympic Games.
