Introduction of Aeon’s ”AI Order” Time halved Inventory reduction
大手スーパーのイオンが、AI（人工知能）を使った需要予測と発注のシステムを13日から導入しました
Aeon, a major supermarket chain, introduced a demand forecasting and ordering system using AI (artificial intelligence) from the 13th.
このシステムは、店ごとの過去の販売実績や、曜日、価格、気温などの情報を組み合わせて、AIが最適な発注数を提案します
This system combines information such as past sales results for each store, day of the week, price, temperature, etc., and AI proposes the optimal number of orders.
発注にかかる時間は1部門あたり平均およそ90分から45分に半減し、過剰発注を防ぐことで3割ほどの在庫削減にもつながるということです
The time it takes to place an order has been halved from an average of 90 minutes to 45 minutes per department, and preventing over-ordering will lead to an inventory reduction of about 30%.
