Sony Group operating income exceeds 1 trillion yen for the first time
ソニーグループは3月期の決算で本業の儲けを示す営業利益が初めて1兆円を超えたと発表しました
The Sony Group announced that its operating profit, which indicates the profitability of its core business, exceeded 1 trillion yen for the first time in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2013.
In the financial results announced by the Sony Group up to March this year, operating income increased by 25.9% from the previous year to a record high of 1,202.3 billion yen.
Sales also increased 10.3% from the previous year to a record high of 9,921.5 billion yen.
The movie business such as ”Spider-Man” was strong, and the depreciation of the yen led to high profits.
Also, regarding PlayStation 5, it is planned to sell 18 million units this year, assuming that parts supply is in sight to some extent.
