One child this year at a shrine with owls in Tochigi Prefecture

栃木県とちぎけん野木町のぎまちにある野木神社のぎじんじゃでは、25年ねんぐらい前まえからふくろうが木きに巣すを作つくって、子こどもを育そだてています

At Nogi Shrine in Nogi Town, Tochigi Prefecture, owls have been nesting trees for about 25 years to raise children.

去年きょねんは子こどもがいないようでしたが、今年ことしは子こどもが1羽わいることが13日にちにわかりました

It seemed that there were no children last year, but this year it turned out that there was one child on the 13th.

子こどもの体からだの長ながさは25cmぐらいで、白しろくて柔やわらかそうな毛けが生はえています

The child’s body is about 25 cm long and has white and soft hair.

神社じんじゃに来きた人ひとたちは、高たかい枝えだにいるふくろうの子こどもの写真しゃしんを撮とっていました

People who came to the shrine were taking pictures of owl children on tall branches

神社じんじゃでは、ふくろうの子こどもが木きのどこにいるか、画面がめんで映像えいぞうを見みることができます

At the shrine, you can see on the screen where the owl child is in the tree.

ふくろうのストレスにならないように、見みたり写真しゃしんを撮とったりするのは午後ごご6時じまでにしています

I try to see and take pictures by 6 pm so as not to stress the owls.

神社じんじゃの人ひとは「やっと1羽わ見みることができました

The person at the shrine said, ”I was finally able to see one bird.

神社じんじゃにはたくさんの人ひとが来きてにぎやかです」と話はなしました

A lot of people come to the shrine and it’s lively. ”

Nogi shrine, in Ibaraki Ken Nogi Shi has had an owls nest where chicks have been raised for the last 25 years.

去年きょねんは子こどもがいないようでしたが、今年ことしは子こどもが1羽わいることが13日にちにわかりました

Last year there were no owl chicks. This year an owl chick was discovered on the 13th.

To reduce stress to the owl the taking of pictures is limited to 6pm.
