Assuming flooding of the Tama River in Tokyo: Large-scale rescue training before the typhoon season
台風のシーズンを前に、東京・多摩川が氾濫した時を想定した大規模な救助訓練が実施されました
Before the typhoon season, a large-scale rescue training was conducted assuming the time when the Tama River in Tokyo overflowed.
The training was conducted on the assumption that the Tama River was flooded in Kunitachi City, Tokyo due to a typhoon, and roads were flooded one after another.
Approximately 500 people from 28 organizations participated, including firefighters from the Tokyo Fire Department and city officials.
A quick response unit launched in 2020 in anticipation of a large-scale disaster also participated in training to rescue people left behind in flooded buildings.
In the training assuming that an isolated area occurred due to a landslide disaster, a helicopter rushed to the site and carried out rescue activities.
