Coinbase fires 18% of employees, warning of ”winter of crypto assets”

Coinbase, a US crypto asset (cryptocurrency) trading platform, has announced that it will dismiss 18% of its employees as the crypto asset market continues to collapse.
ブライアン・アームストロング最高経営責任者（ＣＥＯ）は１４日、従業員約１０００人を解雇する「難しい決断」は、「不況の中で健全性を維持する」ためだと述べました
Brian Armstrong, CEO, said yesterday that the ”difficult decision” to dismiss about 1,000 employees was to ”maintain soundness in a recession.”
According to the company’s website, it employs more than 4,900 people.
アームストロング氏は不況が迫っていると警告したうえで、それにより暗号資産のこのところの下げ相場が拡大する可能性があるとしました
Armstrong warned that a recession was imminent, saying that it could widen the recent downturn in crypto assets.
