The domestic manufacturer known as “Fem-Tech” announced the development of the worlds first ever underwear that is able to measure the volume of period blood when it is released during the menstrual cycle.
The CEO of Be-AJapan, Kumi Takahashi, announced that, “Things such as the amount of period blood released have a direct correlation to the health of women, which is extremely important information.” The company Be-AJapan and Mitsufuji are collaborating in order to develop the world’s first period underwear that can measure the volume of period blood.
The cloth used in the underwear is made with a string that has electrical properties designed to retrieve measurement data and send it to your smartphone.
There is also anticipation of early detection in female-specific ailments.
From here on out, the products will be tested for verification and are projected to be released to the public next year.
