昔むかしある海うみで、時折ときおりドーンドーンという大おおきな音おとが聞きこえてくる所ところがあり、その音おとが鳴なると大波おおなみが起おこるので、そこの漁村ぎょそんはその音おとが聞きこえると船ふねを引ひき上あげなければならなかった

するとドーンという大おおきな音おとが鳴なった

若者わかものは面白おもしろくなって両足りょうあしでジャンプして踏ふみ付つけた

するとさらに巨大きょだいな音おとが鳴なり海うみの水みずを持もち上あげた

するとある時太鼓ときたいこの皮かわが破やぶけ、若者わかものは太鼓たいこの中なかへ落おっこちてしまった

すると海うみの水みずが渦うずを巻まき、太鼓たいこの中なかへ吸あつい込こまれていった

Then the sea water swirled and was sucked into the drums.

その渦うずは今いまでも太鼓たいこに吸すい込こまれていて、これが有名ゆうめいな鳴門なるとの大渦だいうずになったそうである

The whirlpool is still sucked into the drums, which seems to have become a famous Naruto.

その後ごその若者わかものを見みた者ものは誰だれひとりいなかった
