”Mio the Beautiful” is a picture book published in 2021, and 2000 books have been published so far.
2006年に日本に来たキノタ・ブレイスウェイトさんがかきました
Mr. Kinota is Canadian and his ancestors came from Africa.
The picture book mentions that her daughter, Mio, was bullied in elementary school because of her skin color.
Kinota believed that it was important for children to learn about people of different races and cultures in order to eliminate bullying.
In the picture book, the teacher tells the bullied child, ``Every child is beautiful in their own way.’’
I also spoke to university students studying to become school teachers.

A university student said, ``I want to create opportunities for children to experience things for themselves and think about other people.’’
