The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare announced that the number of births in the first half of this year was approximately 352,000, down 4.1% from last year.
According to demographic statistics released by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, the number of births in the first half of this year from January to June was 352,240.
In the first half of last year, there were 367,232 people, a decrease of about 4.1%.
On the other hand, the number of deaths was 786,347, an increase of 18,969 from the same period last year.
At the same time last year, there were 15,102 people, an increase of 7,141 people.
