Presenting an award to a Japanese female researcher who has conducted outstanding research
The Japan Science and Technology Agency, together with the Embassy of Poland, is awarding young Japanese female researchers for their outstanding research.
Poland is the birthplace of Marie Curie, the first woman to win the Nobel Prize.
This year’s most wonderful award went to Kana Moriwaki of the University of Tokyo.
Mr. Moriwaki is conducting research using computers to investigate how the universe began and changed.

Kei Ota of Kinki University and Aya Mitani of the University of Toronto also received awards.
The Japan Science and Technology Agency says it is important to allow female researchers to continue their research even after getting married or having children.
