Honda said it will begin selling more than 10 types of ”electric motorcycles” that run on electricity by 2025.
By 2030, 15%, or 3.5 million of the motorcycles Honda sells a year worldwide will be electric motorcycles.
Before 2050, we hope to make only motorcycles that run on electricity or fuel made from plants, so that they do not emit carbon dioxide, which raises the temperature of the earth.
Vice President Kohei Takeuchi commented, ”Emitting carbon dioxide from a motorcycle is a different challenge from that of a car.
We want to be able to be the number one company in electric motorcycles,” he said.
