Mobile battery catches fire on JR Yamanote Line train

White smoke is rising from the train behind them.
Mobile battery was burning on the train floor.
According to Eastern Japan JR, on 6th after 6 pm, inside the stopped train at the ikebukuro station in yamate line (there was a smoke like thing uplifted) and the crew members were contacted.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department,the sparks were emitted from a mobile battery that was in a male passenger’s bag.
The man took out the burning battery and left it inside the train before jumping out.
The fire was soon controlled, nobody was injured but there was a huge delay of 20 minutes around yamateline and around 8000 people were affected by it.
