Fire at nightclub under renovation kills 29 people in Türkiye
トルコの最大都市イスタンブールで２日、改修作業が行われていたナイトクラブで火災が発生し、２９人が死亡した
On the 2nd, a fire broke out at a nightclub undergoing renovation work in Istanbul, Turkey’s largest city, killing 29 people.

イスタンブール知事室によると、８人が負傷し、うち７人が重体だという
According to the Istanbul governor’s office, eight people were injured, seven of them in critical condition.
The site is located in the Besiktas district, located on the west side of the Bosphorus in central Istanbul.
All the victims are believed to be workers who were carrying out renovations.
火災は午後１時前に発生した
The fire broke out just before 1 p.m.
The state-run Anadolu news agency reported that the fire broke out during renovation work at the nightclub in the basement of the building.
国営放送ＴＲＴは、当局が火災に関連して、ナイトクラブの経営者や会計士、共同経営者、改修に伴う金属加工作業の責任者ら８人を拘束したと伝えた
State broadcaster TRT said authorities had detained eight people in connection with the fire, including the nightclub’s manager, an accountant, a partner and the person in charge of the metal work involved in the renovation.
