Five years after the fire, Notre Dame Cathedral’s reconstruction work progresses.

On the 15th, it had been 5 years after the fire of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France.
Reconstruction work is progressing witht he goal of the cathedral reopening to the public in December.
Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris suffered catastrophic damage in a fire on April 15, 2019, with its spire and roof destroyed, and approximately 500 people are working every day to rebuild it.
The scaffolding of the new spire, which is 96 meters above the ground, is being gradually removed and revealed.
French tourist: “I am looking forward to reopening to the public at the end of the year.
This place is like the heart of France.
It`s like a symbol of history for all French people.” Tourist from Scotland: “ (Open to the public) I`m looking forward to the reopening.
It`s a shame that I couldn`t come all this way to see the inside, but I`ll come again.” Notre Dame Cathedral is scheduled to reopen to the public on December 8th, and the roof and other repairs will continue after that.
