US House of Representatives passes amendment bill to ban TikTok

On the 20th, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bipartisan bill that would prohibit the distribution of the Chinese video-sharing app ``TikTok’’ across the United States unless its operator sells its U.S. business within one year.
A similar bill was passed in March, but the period for sale was revised from approximately six months to one year.
It is said that consideration has been given to legal concerns that have been raised by some.
