The former site of the ski jumping venue for the Beijing Winter Olympics held in February this year was opened to the public, and the state-owned company in charge spoke enthusiastically about future uses, including attracting companies and turning it into a tourist destination.
Built on the site of a former steel factory on the outskirts of Beijing, the area of the venue, which attracted a lot of attention at the tournament, was also equipped with a curling rink and a skating rink, and the facilities for winter sports were expanded.
A shopping mall and an industrial park opened in June of this year, and efforts are being made to attract science and technology-related companies.
The person in charge of the state-owned company that has jurisdiction over the site of the Olympic venue, which can be said to be an issue for the Olympics, says, ”We would like to promote sustainable reuse” in fields such as biological science and virtual space = metaverse.
