Chihuahua on a walk dies after being attacked by puma in Los Angeles

A resident’s Chihuahua died after being attacked by a puma while walking in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles.

According to KTLA, Chihuahua mixed dog ”Piper” was attacked on the evening of the 9th of this month.
Security camera footage shows a puma emerging from bushes along a residential road and pouncing on Piper.

Piper was walking with another dog on a leash by a man.
The man ”felt a tug and heard Piper’s high-pitched squeal” and ”turned around to see his face.”
I didn’t know what it was,” he testified to KTLA.
”It was a fight for a few seconds.” ”He had Piper in his mouth.
It didn’t growl, I didn’t hear a sound
I couldn’t do anything,” he recalled.

According to the National Park Service, security camera footage and other evidence indicate that the puma that killed the Chihuahua was P-22, which the National Park Service is tracking with a GPS collar.
