WBTV said its Sky 3 news helicopter crashed, killing weather forecaster Jason Myers and pilot Chip Tayag.
シャーロット警察によると、同日正午ごろ、州間高速道路７７号線の道路脇で墜落があったとの通報が入り、駆け付けた警官が現場で２人の死亡を確認しました
Charlotte Police said two people were confirmed dead at the scene after a call was received around noon that the crash had occurred on the side of Interstate 77.
No vehicles were involved in the crash.
シャーロット・メクレンバーグ警察のジョニー・ジェニングス署長は、ヘリコプターのパイロットが機体を制御して車両との衝突を回避した可能性があると述べ、「もしそれが本当なら、道路上の車を危険にさらすまいとしたパイロットは英雄だ」とコメントしています
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Johnny Jennings said the helicopter pilot may have taken control of the aircraft to avoid colliding with vehicles, saying in a comment: ”If that’s true, this pilot is a hero for keeping the cars on the road out of danger.”
