Hawaii’s volcanic lava hits major highways

The lava flowed out by the eruption of Mauna Loa volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii is gradually approaching major highways, and there are concerns about the enormous impact on residents in the future.
The world’s largest volcano, Mauna Loa, erupted on the 27th of last month for the first time in 38 years and is still going strong, with lava approaching 5.7 km from the main highway connecting the east and west of the island.
According to the Geological Survey Department, the lava movement is slowing down and it will take at least a few days to reach the highway.
At present, there is no danger to residential areas, and Volcanoes National Park continues to accept tourists.
