New hostage video released by Islamic Jihad showing Israeli man detained in Gaza

On the 8th, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad militant group in the Gaza Strip, released a new video of an Israeli man (47) being held hostage in the Gaza Strip.

This is the second time this man has appeared in an Islamic Jihad video, the first being in mid-December last year.

In the new video, he stands in front of the organization’s flag and speaks for about three and a half minutes in English and Hebrew.

Last week, an Israeli organization made up of families of hostages and missing persons announced that the man had died, but did not provide further details.

２人ふたりの男性だんせいはいずれも、イスラム組織そしきハマスとイスラエルの軍事衝突ぐんじしょうとつが始はじまった昨年さくねん１０月がつ７日なのかに約やく４０人にんが連つれ去さられた同国南部どうこくなんぶのキブツ（集団農場しゅうだんのうじょう）、ニルオズの住民じゅうみんだった

Both men were residents of Niruoz, a kibbutz (collective farm) in the south of the country from which about 40 people were abducted on October 7 last year, when military conflict between the Islamic group Hamas and Israel began.

The release came as a surprise to many Israelis, as Islamic Jihad had announced the woman’s death days earlier.
