”Hayabusa 2” capsule Return to the Australian desert at the end of next year
地球からおよそ３億キロ離れた小惑星「リュウグウ」で、去年６月から探査を続けている「はやぶさ２」は、これまでに２度の着陸に成功し、小惑星の岩石が入ったと見られるカプセルを地球の大気圏に突入させ回収する計画です
Hayabusa2, which has been conducting exploration since June last year on the asteroid ”Ryugu” about 300 million kilometers away from the earth, has successfully landed twice, and it is believed that the asteroid’s rocks are in the capsule.
JAXA held a press conference and announced plans to drop the capsule into the same Australian desert as Woomera from November to December next year.
Because the location of the drop must be in the southern hemisphere due to the orbital relationship, and since there is a track record of the first unit, we have been able to negotiate with Australia’s space agency and have reached an agreement roughly.
JAXA Makoto Yoshikawa’s mission manager says, ”I want to carefully proceed to the end and prepare for my return.”
