Shohei Ohtani undergoes elbow surgery: ``I want to play as soon as possible’’
Last month, it was revealed that Shohei Ohtani of the Major League Baseball Angels had an injury to his right elbow.
The Angels said on the 19th that Ohtani underwent elbow surgery.
The doctor who performed the surgery said that Ohtani will be able to play as a batter from next year and as a pitcher from the year after next.

Otani played an active role as both a batter and a pitcher this year.
He has hit 44 home runs and is likely to become the first Japanese player to hit the most home runs in a single year.
