ICOMOS Stop plans for Meiji Jingu Gaien construction
東京の明治神宮外苑では、新しい建物などを建てる計画があります
There are plans to build new buildings at Meiji Jingu Gaien in Tokyo.
Construction began in March of this year, and trees over 3 meters in height will be cut down and planted in other locations starting in September.
On the 7th, ICOMOS, an organization associated with UNESCO, published a document on its website requesting that construction plans be stopped.

ICOMOS explains that Meiji Jingu Gaien was created to preserve as many trees as possible in Tokyo, where new buildings are being built rapidly.
