On the 10th, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a meeting with Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh, and with regard to the situation in the South China Sea, he said, ”We must jointly stop the interference and provocations of external forces.”
While China is in conflict with Vietnam over maritime rights and interests in the South China Sea, Foreign Minister Wang Yi also insisted, ”We must not take unilateral actions that aggravate the conflict.”
Foreign Minister Wang Yi is scheduled to visit Cambodia, Singapore and South Korea until the 15th.
US Vice President Harris and others have visited Vietnam and Singapore one after another, and China seems to be aiming to increase its presence in response to these movements.
