The tank lorry collided with the wall and the loading platform part fell under the overpass.
The accident occurred on the Shimanami Kaido down line in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture, and according to police, a tank truck collided with the side wall at around 10:20 am on the 13th.
Due to the impact of the accident, the tank of the loading platform containing 9000 liters of soy sauce fell on the road about 10 meters below.
No one was injured due to the fall of the tank, but Mr. Tadashi Hirata (68), an office worker in Taketoyo Town, Aichi Prefecture, who was driving, hit his head hard and died.
The police and fire department are investigating the cause of the accident
