Regarding SLBM (submarine-launched ballistic missile) that the South Korean army successfully launched underwater, President Moon Jae-in emphasized the idea that it is ”a deterrent to North Korea’s provocation.”
On the afternoon of the 15th, the South Korean army announced that it had hit the target by test-launching SLBM from an underwater submarine.
President Moon, who witnessed the launch experiment, clearly positioned SLBM as a ”deterrent” against North Korea, and stated that ”we will continue to increase missiles so that we can overwhelm North Korea’s forces.”
North Korea launched two ballistic missiles just before this launch experiment, and President Moon’s remarks may lead to further provocation.
