Tennis player Serena Williams announces retirement

Serena Williams (40), who boasts a total of 23 victories in the four major tournaments of women’s tennis, has announced that she will retire from tennis after participating in the US Open that will start on the 29th.

ウィリアムズ選手はファッション誌「ヴォーグ」のインタビューの中で、全米オープン優勝を目指すとしながらも、自分は今、「違う方向」へ向かうべき時にあると語りました
In an interview with fashion magazine Vogue, Williams said that while aiming to win the U.S. Open, it was time for him to go ”in a different direction.”

Williams posted a photo of himself on the cover of Vogue on Instagram
It was titled ”Serena’s Farewell...I’m Not Good at Sayonara”
