On the 9th, President Biden of the United States signed a bill that subsidizes approximately 7.1 trillion yen for semiconductor production and research and development.
In order to compete with China, which is promoting the development of the semiconductor industry under the leadership of the state, companies receiving subsidies will be restricted from investing in China.
In response, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said at a press conference on the 10th that it would ”promote discriminatory industrial support measures and cause confusion in the global supply chain.”
He also emphasized that ”No restrictions or restrictions can hinder China’s scientific development and industrial progress.”
