Aeon to start smoking cessation during working hours for 450,000 employees

According to Aeon, the target is approximately 450,000 people, which is 90% of the total employees of 115 business establishments in the domestic group, and smoking is prohibited in the buildings and premises of each business establishment throughout the day.
In addition to preventing second-hand smoke for the health of employees, smoking is prohibited for 45 minutes before work to prevent ”third-hand smoke” in which other people inhale tobacco components attached to clothes and hair.
The remaining 10% of employees will also be banned from smoking in stages.
Currently, Aeon stores are closing smoking areas for visitors, but we are considering whether to continue using them in the future.
